Beethoven-Haus - Bonngasse 20
The house in which Beethoven was born displays several of his string instruments as well as his last grand piano. You will also find images and depictions of Beethoven’s time in Bonn and Vienna. The premises of the Beethovenhaus are host to diverse exhibitions on varying themes. Guided tours offered .
 
Stadtmuseum Bonn - Franziskanerstr. 9
This museum documents the over 2000 year long history of the City of Bonn. Many of the exhibits are donations of the townspeople of Bonn. The permanent exhibition focuses on the era between the 18th and 20th Century. Other rooms of the museum give insight into the town’s urban development as well as the literary, musical and industrial history of Bonn.

Rheinisches Landesmuseum Bonn, Fraunhoferstr. 8
The museum showcases samples of the history, culture and arts of the Rhineland from the early Stone Age up to the present day. Varying exhibitions and numerous special events round up the concept of the Landesmuseum.

Haus der Geschichte der Bundesrepublik Deutschland,

The „Haus der Geschichte“ presents a permanent exhibition of German history from the end of WWII to the present day. The objects on display are arranged within their respective historical context and enable the visitor to literally “experience” German post-war history . Other varying exhibitions are displayed in additonal rooms.

Kunstmuseum Bonn,

This museum focuses on modern art of the 20th Century with its two main collections “August Macke und die Rheinischen Expressionisten (August Macke and the expressionists of the Rhineland)” and “Deutsche Kunst seit 1945 (German art since 1945)”.

Deutsches Museum Bonn,
Ahrstraße 45

This is the first German museum dedicated to contemporary technology and scientific research in Germany after 1945. On display are devices used by Nobel prize laureates, as well as technological achievements ranging from such everyday objects as wall plugs to the Transrapid magnetic-levitation train. The “Kunstverein” displays ground-breaking movements in contemporary art by internationally renowned artists as well as by those who are yet to be discovered. A broad supporting programme, Germany’s leading „Artothek“ and the international festival "Videonale" round up what the Kunstverein has to offer.
 
August-Macke-Haus,
Bornheimer Straße/Ecke Hochstadenring

This is the house in which August Macke lived and worked betwenn 1911 and 1914. The studio on the attic floor was authentically restored in accordance with old photos and drawings. On display are numerous reproductions of paintings and a documentation of August Macke’s life and work. Varying exhibitions.

Frauen-Museum Bonn,

The acclaimed intention of the “Frauenmuseum” („Women’s Museum“) is to promote art created by contemporary female artists from Germany and abroad. You will also find: an archive of art history, an archive of photos and other media, as well as various educational programmes. Varying exhibitons.
